Rosa Romano (Scientific coordiantor for UNIFI)
Rosa Romano, Architect and PhD, is Associate Professor at the DiDA Department of the University of Florence (Italy). Her research focuses on the themes of bioecological architecture and innovative technologies for the environment, with particular attention to the management of complex building processes. Full professor at the University of Florence, where she participates in national and international research projects in specific energy and environment sector programs. She also carries out teaching and consultancy activities concerning environmental sustainability, energy saving, and energy evaluation of buildings.
Architect, PhD in Architectural Technology, is Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture at University of Florence. Her research focuses on the topic of socio-healthcare building, particularly on birth environment, public spaces in hospitals, primary care facilities and public spaces. She is expert in methodology and tools for the spatial configuration analysis related to people flow in healthcare buildings and built environments to favour users’ rights.
PhD in Architectural Technology and a Research fellow at the Department of Architecture at the University of Florence. He has carried out design and consulting activities for public authorities, focusing on accessibility and usability. He has participated in European research in BIM modelling - management and design of CAFM systems. His work and publications are focused on the following topics: design for all, management, and monitoring systems for complex projects.
Architect and Research Fellow at the Department of Architecture. Her research focuses on sustainable development and design, with particular attention to the themes of urban transformations about climate change, health and active design, sustainable mobility and circular economy. She has acquired numerous experiences abroad, working in multidisciplinary teams with particular reference to the practices of new processes and approaches to integrated sustainable design.
Engineer and PhD in Architectural Technology, she conducts research as a technician at the TAM Laboratory in the Department of Architecture (DiDA) at the University of Florence. Her interests focus on innovative technologies for building energy efficiency and advanced materials for optimising envelope performance. She has gained experience in techniques and tools for monitoring building energy performance through in-situ measurements and assessing indoor and outdoor comfort in urban spaces.
Architect and PhD student in Urban Future Studies - Architectural Technology curriculum. Her research focuses on the Deep Renovation of public buildings by designing regenerative modular envelopes. Her professional experience, developed in national and international contexts, includes environmental design and 3D printing of architectural modules using natural and waste materials.
